Should I get my doctorate degree in Psychology or Masters?

Will it benefit me more to be a PhD Psychologist or a LPC Master’s Level Psychologist? How long does each take, what’s really the difference, they both have Licenses?

    I THINK PSYCHOLOGY

Masters is about 6 yrs & is bare minimum to be a practicing psychologist. PhD is another 2-3 yrs on top of that BUT you get to add ‘Dr’ in front of your name & you make much more money having a PhD. All depends on how much schooling you want to do! Good luck.

Your work will tend to carry more weight if you have a “Dr.” in front of your name. That’s just how our society works….
